Riad Samsara hides in the north of the Marrakech medina, near Bab Taghzout — fifteen minutes from the airport, within walking distance of Jemaa el-Fna. Cars stop at the gates of the medina : we come and welcome you there.

~15–20 min by taxi
Marrakech-Menara airport is close by: a taxi drops you at the edge of the medina, by Bab Taghzout, north of the souks. A private transfer can also be arranged on request.

we'll be waiting
Cars don't enter the lanes of the medina — and that's part of the charm. Let us know when you arrive: someone from the house comes to meet you, and a porter takes care of the luggage.

You slip into the derb, the noise of the city fades, a wooden door opens — and the patio appears, with its fountain and orange trees. The arrival is already part of the stay.

A few landmarks in the medina
The Bab Taghzout quarter is a medina that lives — not a medina that sells. People live here, shop here, and the bustle of the souks stays within walking distance, never under your windows.
- Bab Taghzout
The old northern gate of the medina, a stone's throw from the house. A neighbourhood of everyday life — grocers, a communal bread oven, the call to prayer — far from the tourist circuits.
- Jemaa el-Fna
The great square is reached on foot, walking down through the medina. The way home, by lantern light, is a memory in itself.
- The souks
Between the house and the square runs the thread of the souks: copper, leather, spices. We'll gladly sketch the route for you — or walk it with you.
